A 190g jar of Hot Shito Pepper Sauce, our best selling Ghanaian chilli crisp, and a jar of Suya Spice Rub, the smoky West African peanut blend behind the skewers.
Why they go together
The Suya goes on before cooking, a dry rub that toasts and crusts over high heat. The Shito goes on after, spooned over while everything is still hot so the oil runs down into it. Rub then sauce. It is how we cook at the market stall.

Frequently asked questions
How do I use these two together?
Rub the Suya into meat, prawns or vegetables with a little olive oil, grill hot and fast, then spoon Shito over the top while it is still hot. Our Suya Seafood Skewers recipe does exactly this.
Does the Suya Spice Rub contain nuts?
Yes, peanuts. The Shito contains soy. Please check before serving.
