Sweet. Smoky. Spicy., and the smoky nutty rub that goes with it. Two products, one obvious pairing.
A 190g jar of Hot Shito Pepper Sauce, our best seller, sweet up front, deep and smoky through the middle, then a proper kick of heat. Alongside it, our Suya Spice Rub, the classic West African street food blend that makes the skewers everyone asks about.
Rub the suya on before it hits the grill. Spoon the shito over after. Works on beef, chicken, lamb and prawns, and just as well on tofu, mushrooms, cauliflower or roast veg.

How do I use the Suya Spice Rub?
Use it dry as a rub, or mix it with a little olive oil to make a paste. Coat the meat or vegetables, leave for thirty minutes, then grill or roast. Finish with a spoon of Hot Shito.
Is the suya only for meat?
No. It is traditional on beef, chicken, lamb and prawns, and it is excellent on tofu, mushrooms, cauliflower and roast vegetables. It contains peanuts, so check before serving to guests.
